Jetson - Seal Beach, California
Designed by Jeannette Architects in Long Beach, CA, this major remodel on the sand in what's known as "The Gold Coast" of the quaint town of Seal Beach drew much attention by the locals. "What's that big box poking through the wall and where does it go?" they wondered. Framing an extraordinary view from the Guest Suite of the San Bernardino Mountains miles from the beach, this home brought a new architecture to the area. A theme of "60's Modern" with today's materials of white split face concrete block, mahogany wood, glass, stainless steel and smooth stucco, this three story home was designed with entertaining in mind opening its doors to tiers of concrete pads cascading to the sand of the Pacific Ocean and nearby Port of Los Angeles. What's inside? A separate catering kitchen, a custom built stair of steel and wood, martini bar of Caesarstone, cabinets of Mahogany with "old school" sliding doors and stainless cup pulls, Interiors and lighting furnished by the clients themselves, walls to frame a wonderful art collection and hookups for 2 Nissan Leaf electric cars. The home lives and party's comfortably for the owners.
