This Southern California yard was designed for year-round outdoor use after addressing drainage challenges. Two large percolation pits were installed, along with a raised pathway that connects different areas while guiding heavy rainfall from El Niño storms toward the percolation zones and away from the rest of the property. The result is a practical drainage solution combined with a landscape featuring, a fire-pit, fountains, many native plants and fruit trees.
