The Low Carbon Mountain House is a beautiful 2,500 sqft single family home in a rural, heavily forested area. Climate-appropriate passive design strategies were investigated and implemented throughout the design process. Energy efficiency is a driving factor in every part of this home. The simple, durable building forms and assemblies minimize the complexity of construction keeping things as streamlined as possible, while maintaining the aesthetic integrity desired by our wonderful client.
