Solstice is a modern architecture and design studio creating spaces for people where they both belong. Since 2020, we’ve been creating beautiful, durable design solutions for work and for life. With a team of veterans in a range of disciplines, we execute projects end to end, from concepting and design to construction. Service is our only signature. To keep innovating, we avoid one “style” or aesthetic, and we push the boundaries of design, materials, and convention. We’re your guide through every choice, challenge, and moment of joy in designing a space you love. We emphasize true partnership, and we invite the people we work with to get involved throughout our process. Solstice is trained and certified in the Passive House building standard and are DOE Zero Energy Ready Home Partners. We reimagine the impact of both form and function to build for sustainability and longevity. Our principles guide us to make thoughtful choices and create spaces that respond to their environment. Founded by CEO Caroline Wallace and Lead Architect Shay Myers, RA, CPHC®, Solstice is a fully remote team with roots in Salt Lake City and Southeast Ohio and working worldwide. Shay and his team at Solstice are excellent architects. As a General Contractor I have had the opportunity to work with many architects, draftsmen, and engineers over the years. Shay is the best architect that I have used to date. He is very thorough, takes the extra time understand and to communicate effectively, and is talented. His strong work ethic resulted in set of very accurate detailed construction documents. We couldn't be happier.

The Solstice Design and Build team did a fantastic job of designing and completing an extensive landscaping project at my rural home. The design is beautiful with 2 different rammed earth structures that absolutely take the project to another level. The design is unique which is wonderful. It was also designed with native plants that are not only stunning but also hardy so that they might survive two rambunctious dogs and somewhat extreme weather. We couldn't be happier with the completed project and have had numerous people make a point to stop to inquire about the rammed earth wall and planter and to comment on how stunning the landscaping looks. We would definitely use this talented team again.

February 2, 2021 Solstice Design Build I can’t thank you enough for my beautiful transformed kitchen! What a great team to work with! I wanted to update my kitchen to more of a Danish-Modern design and loved the designs and colors that were suggested. Solstice Design Build worked closely with me on all aspects of the project and they finished on time! What a great team to work with! I would highly recommend Solstice Design Build for big or small projects.
