Memorial Home Addition
This 1960’s 1300 sq ft house doubled in size with a two story addition plus garage space. Downstairs, the “adult gameroom” was designed with relaxation in mind. Rich built ins along the back wall provide space for wine and refreshments, as well as a spot to hide all the electronic wiring for the flat screen T.V. Large trimmed french doors and windows illuminate this relaxing space, and coupled with the Texas style leather furniture give this room a comfortable and refined feel. Other unique details include wine glass storage, an engraved copper sink, and wine bottle cubbies. In the living room, a fresh coat of paint on the ceiling beams, new handscraped wood floors, and a unique rounded wall to replace the outdated iron barrier by the front door give the downstairs a brand new look and feel. Upstairs, a kid’s gameroom is outfitted with a bar area using large smooth stones as a tile backsplash, a bathroom with warm red cabinetry, and two bedrooms for the older children. Space below the stairs is utilized with built in lockers for each of the children with space for backpacks and shoes.
