Mid-20's Charming Tudor

Surrounded by lush landscaping on a street in San Diego's desirable Loma Portal neighborhood, this charming '20's Tudor was ready for some TLC. The owner had given substantial thought to her preferences and priorities and, together, we arrived at cost-effective solutions for enhancement while preserving the home's historic character.

Refurbished cabinets, Silestone counters, marble back splash and sill, along with antique-finish hardware create a clean and uncluttered finish, while contributing to the '20's cottage ambiance.

The kitchen-adjacent space houses the refrigerator, pantry and laundry. New hardwood floors flow into this area; upper storage cabinets and matching Silestone counter tops were added.

A lavatory cabinet was custom designed and built to accommodate the small scale of the bathroom. Needed storage was incorporated in the cabinet, eliminating previous clutter.

Muted, monochromatic colors and thoughtful details also add a feeling of spaciousness and calm. A new beaded wood cabinet door matches the wainscot.
