A traditional 1930’s Cape Cod in Land Park, Sacramento was cramped and dark. The family needed space without adding square footage. We fully opened the kitchen to the dining room making space for a peninsula style island and moving family meals together to the dining room, allowing us to add comfortable club chairs for coffee and conversation in the kitchen. The color was repeated between rooms in surfaces- deep blue hand-glazed tile and accented in the living room’s custom-designed built-in.
