This century home had lots of character but just needed a little help to bring it out! The cabinets hanging from the ceiling over the island made the kitchen feel small and closed off. The cabinetry and countertops were dated and did not reflect the architecture of the home.

Now the kitchen is bright and open. The homeowner is a geologist, so the countertops are a feature. The Titanium granite on the island has a honed finish (which gives it a texture distinct from the typical polished granite).
