This 4800 square foot unit in Naples, FL was delivered to the owners “designer ready” with only finished bathrooms and kitchen. The owners wanted something organic, low maintenance that would also highlight their eclectic art collection. A Thai deity was made the focal point in the main living area that was defined by furniture placement.
Gil Walsh tore out the kitchen cabinets and replaced counter tops with poured concrete. To add other organic and eco-friendly elements she installed bamboo floors throughout, bamboo being a highly renewable resource. Wall panels of concrete were used throughout to provide a backdrop for the artwork even using the lighting fixtures as pieces of sculpture.
