Palm Beach Bungalow

Built in 1920, this sunny Palm Beach bungalow is among the oldest houses on the island. While it may be rather modest compared to what most people think of when they hear the words “Palm Beach” (massive Mediterranean revival manses, Palladian palazzos and other assorted over-the-top structures) what this house lacks in square footage it more than makes up for in effortless charm.
Once the home to legendary magazine editor and stylista, the late Lou Gropp, Palm Beach designer Gil Walsh has enlivened the space with lush tropical prints, color-saturated brights and lighthearted touches of wicker and rattan. A flawless envelope of creamy walls and highly polished wood floors completes the composition, artfully respecting the home’s past while bringing it very much into the present.
