An interior renovation triggered a full exterior project for this Lac La Belle home. The landscape was tired. Overgrown, dying, and poorly placed trees consumed the lot. Currently a secondary residence, the clients plan to call it home during retirement, allowing for a bold forward-thinking decision to remove nearly everything. The south side of the home received updates for longevity, installing Eden steps and flagstone walkway, along with reconstructing the stone wall. On the north side, delicate planning was done for water and privacy. Through a combination of grading and drainage, along with several green giant arborvitae and Peking cotoneaster, the side yard was transformed. The patio features Valders rustic paving with a 6x12 bluestone border. The stonework and plantings naturally frame the centerpiece patio and lawn overlooking the lake. Investing in this scope of work has made a substantial impact on the property and my client’s post-retirement years.
