Old Salty

With a big "for sale" sign, this house and lot at the coast was priced to be scrapped from its site, but this original 1910 cabin was ripe for rescue. A whole house remodel transformed this dwelling into a charming beach cottage.

The original house had rooms enveloped in bead board, a large wraparound porch and light coming in on all sides. What it lacked was coziness that a beach house should have, structural stability, and basic amenities like heating and operable windows. All that changed with a whole house remodel.
