At the front portico, a contrast color was painted on the underside or "ceiling" above the front door. The Living Room was open to both the Dining Room, see in this view, and the Morning Room in the other direction. One light airy neutral color flowed into the Dining Room and up the stairs.

The fireplace tile inspired the paint color selected for the walls. A deeper paint color which brought out the veining in the fireplace surround was used for the mantel shelf. To create a rhythmic change, the Morning Room seen beyond was painted one shade deeper than the Living Room.

The Morning Room flows into a small Hallway outside the first floor Master or Main Bedroom, and the full Bathroom with an adjacent large toilet room. The light color used in the Living Room was repeated in the Hallway.

In this first floor Master or Main Bedroom, there were existing room darkening shades, which leaned toward blue gray. By selecting a serene blue gray compatible to the shades, they appeared more custom, and complementary, rather than dreary. The room was staged with a white bedspread and light...

The main floor bathroom had the toilet and another sink in a separate room, so it could serve as a powder room as needed. The wall color needed to contrast with the sink and toilet, but be clean, fresh, light, and airy. Rooms with no crown molding have white ceilings like the trim.

The Dining Room had a built-in corner china cabinet. To allow the wall color to flow around the room, the interior of the cabinet was painted the same as the wall color of this Dining Room.

A bland kitchen became sophisticated and inviting, with the change in cabinet color, and what staged accordingly. There is no crown molding here, so the ceiling is white.

Angled walls were painted in the wall color, not the ceiling color, to give the room more height. A light and airy soft gray provides contrast to the white baseboards. With no crown molding here, the ceiling is white.

In this upstairs Master Bedroom, angled walls were painted the same as the walls, not the ceiling, for more height to the room. The serene blue was inspired by the blue-gray of the existing room-darkening shades. The white of the trim is repeated in the ceiling.

Between the upstairs Master Bedroom and Master Bath was this dressing room, which flowed from the Hallway to an upstairs large exterior Balcony. It was painted in a light gray color, with the same white trim. Angled walls received the wall color, and the ceiling was painted white.

The very light gray of the upstairs Master Bath is still deep enough to provide contrast to the beautiful pedestal sinks. The wall color was also used for the ceilings, to not distract from the beautiful pedestal sinks, and to create a feeling of more height to the room.

The Basement had few windows, but these light colors keep the space feeling airy and cheery. Ample built-in cabinets remained white. Acoustic Ceiling tile was painted white, and the walls a light neutral.

The detached garage had a little bit of brick on each side of the garage door. The neutral of the siding was repeated in the garage door, but the garage door frame and the frame around the windows was painted white like the windows of the main portion of the house;

The foundation of the house, beneath the siding, was painted a color similar to the siding.
