Sweet Update in an Historic District

A Victorian living room adds an updated traditional valance, for warmth and balance in the space. This home is located in an historic district, but has more modern architecture. Balancing the sweetness of the living room sofa, a more tailored and handsome valance softens what had been a boxy window, and finishes the room.

In this before photo, a Victorian Living Room has a very unfinished looking window, with only the Hunter Douglas Silhouettes at the window. While all the furniture is lyrical and curvaceous, the window is boxy and bare. Masterworks to the rescue!
