This ambitious remodel began by creating a large open space for the kitchen and an adjacent family room. Then a Showplace designer went to work, bringing the family's needs and tastes into the process. The result was an efficient L-shaped kitchen, centered on a large island. Woods and finishes are mixed, resulting in an eclectic, creative theme that is also invitingly warm and comfortable.
