Strong Statements

An open plan and soaring, abundant spaces set the stage for this stunning kitchen creation. Note how the two-toned theme is reflected in flooring, furnishings and walls. With abundant space and a creative spirit, virtually anything is possible. A bold mix of colors, textures and shapes marks this expansive luxury home as a true Showplace.

When the primary goal is the making of a strong personal and creative statement, Showplace cabinetry comes through loud and clear. Setting the tone, the Showplace Hamilton door style combines a handsome raised panel with the intricate detail of an applied molding. Seen here in rich cherry, Hamilton looks stunning in the mid-toned Sienna stain with dark Ebony glazing. The hand-wiped glaze adds even more distinction to the moldings on the doors and drawer headers.

The designer opted for a vibrant two-toned personality, so Showplace cabinetry was supplied unfinished for the island area, and painted on site. Custom outsourced accents like turned columns, corbels and a soaring mantle repeat and reinforce the two-toned theme.

Take note of the vivid, expressive character of Showplace cherry wood. Swirling, flowing grain patterns and natural variations of tone give life and personality to the room, and will gracefully mellow with age.

The lower-level kitchen is designed for relaxed entertaining. Note the many quality accents like decorator end panels, mullion glass doors, open wine bottle storage racks, and apothecary drawers below an open display cabinet. The simple L-shaped floor plan is both convenient and welcoming.
