Client wishlist: more kitchen storage, a bar counter and some shelves for decorative items facing the living room. Our solution was this custom build island/bar counter/shelving unit that floats between the kitchen and the living room portion of this loft. The bar counter is totally covered in iridescent glass tile. A large cabinet with storage is partially pushed under the bar top and the tall shelving unit "snuggles" up to the balustrade of the loft balcony. The same cabinet also houses an appliance garage and wine storage on the kitchen side.
