Kon-strux collaborated on this unique kitchen renovation with the textile artist homeowner. Her amazing piece, "All That Glitters Is Not Gold", is mounted behind glass as the backsplash beneath a wall of cabinetry. Integrating the pop of one-of-a-kind personal artistry was an exciting starting point on this project.

The cabinets are white shaker style along the perimeter walls, and we added a contrasting walnut island. The custom cabinets include a wine glass storage cabinet feature located in the island. Custom walnut pull outs include a spice rack and knife block on either side of the cooktop range. The counter tops are a gorgeous granite with lots of colour movement, pulling from the tones of the textile art piece. The cooktop backsplash is a textured porcelain tile that coordinates with the granite and provides an interesting textural contrast to the shaker style cabinetry.
