The demand for a "modern farmhouse" is on the rise in Atlanta as well as many other locales. Carl Mattison Design aimed to twist the idea a bit and make a modern farmhouse that was not white and had no reclaimed wood. In working with slicker finish level items like lights, tile and new wood mantels and shelves designed to fit the aesthetic, the project became what Carl describes as a
"Chic Farmhouse" complete with an unexpected layout, board and batten wall treatments and mod tile selections throughout.
