This 4-bedroom, 2.5 bath residence in upper Truckee was built in the early 90's and needed an update. Our New Zealand Clients wanted a mountain modern design aesthetic, a bit more on the modern side. The new kitchen features sleek cabinetry with accent lighting, open shelving and steel beam work which is mimicked in the adjacent great room. Here, we added light through re-shaped windows, created a modern, steel fireplace facade flanked by leather wall tiles and floating cabinetry. A hallway with storage cabinets was transformed into a small home office, surrounded by glass at the top of the stairs. The two full baths and powder were fully remodeled, in-keeping with the new clean lines. Keep an eye out for Dingo, the couple's adorable companion!
