1920's Bathroom Remodeling

This historical 1920's home is a typical representation of it's original construction, having small closets, too many interior doors and small bathroom spaces. This bathroom was no exception and required a complete gut to bring it up to date.
After all original finishes were removed, new plumbing and electrical was added and/or replaced. Framing modifications were made to accommodate new tile flooring, Schluter low curb shower floor system and recessed shower wall shelving. Subway wall tile, hexagon shower floor tile and shaker style cabinetry was used to retain the historical aspects of the home.
Since space was a premium, a sliding shower door and barn door was used to improve access within the bathroom.
