This project, which involved 1,016 square feet of deck construction, included re-planking 30 year old deck surfaces, reconfiguring access steps and adding a 168 square foot 2nd floor deck that also functions as the roof structure covering the 1st floor deck.
The '2-story' aspect of the project included coordinating the construction of a massive double masonry fireplace, a low-slope roof under the deck surface and motorized screens to enclose the lower level deck area.
