Our clients inherited this 1950's daylight ranch on the Washougal River and decided to update it to make it their forever house. The floor plan was cut up and featured a massive 3 sided brick fireplace right in the middle which made for small sized rooms which didn't take advantage of the river views to the back of the house. We decided to move the kitchen to the front, remove the fireplace and a couple of bearings walls, to give them an open great room with lots of light and big windows to enjoy the river. We also relocated their stair case to make it safer and more centrally located and moved the laundry room upstairs. All wiring, plumbing, and the HVAC system were updated to get the house ready for the long haul.
