Outdoor Kitchen and Fire Pit area in the Country Club area of Grand Junction. The homeowners wanted to reconfigure a large portion of the grass backyard area in order to create a large entertaining area. The end result was a 2 tiered area containing a kitchen and patio area on the higher tier off the existing patio and then a large open entertaining area with a caste iron fire bowl as its centerpiece. The floor of the upper tier was originally designed to have a crushed granite floor (as seen in the pictures here). The granite was later removed and replaced with concrete as the homeowners wanted a firmer, less loose base.
