The homeowner of a small duplex wanted to clean up and spruce up her existing yard which was mostly over run with weeds and spreading grass. We removed the existing stoop and poured a new, larger front porch pad, trimmed the lawn with concrete curbing and added new plantings which are much better suited to the light and sized for the area. In back we worked with the existing curved sidewalk which laid the foundation for a "yin & yang" sort of split to the yard. The homeowner wanted a small grass area but also an area for chairs and a small picnic table. A tree was also added which will eventually provide privacy from the close knit neighbors.
