An avid cook, the homeowner wanted a kitchen that would inspire her to create meals for her family. She also wanted a better layout so that when her family was around, they could be in the kitchen with her. Her list of must haves included creating purposeful storage, a pantry, a gas cooktop, a decorative wall hood, a wall oven and microwave, relocation of the dishwasher away from the corner, a separate wine and coffee bar area and an island that could provide storage as well as seating for her family. We also had to find a convenient place for the TV. Without knocking down walls, and through creative use of cabinetry, we were able to tick off every item on her wish list. The new kitchen has been an inspiration. The homeowner has found new joy in cooking. She has also found herself oftentimes just sitting in her kitchen enjoying her new domain.
