Modern Guest Bath
This guest bath used to have a tub/shower combination and a vanity that took up more than half of the room. The goal of the remodel was to open up the space. We installed a walk-in shower with a seat made of cultured marble because the homeowner did not want to deal with grout. Using contrasting colors for the shower surround and the seat, gave the shower area a custom look. A 24" floating vanity with an integral sink was selected to open up the room further. This arrangement fit perfectly with the unique medicine cabinet which needs a clearance of 10" on either side to allow the doors to slide to the left and to the right. We added color with the use of a glass mosaic tile that had various shades of blue mixed with grey. Grey colored walls the same shade as the shower surround creates continuity and enhances the illusion of space. The homeowner's picture was the perfect accessory to add a burst of color to a relaxing space.
