The blue and green swirly pattern in the granite reminded the homeowner of Monet's water lily paintings and became our color inspiration. To make the space feel more open and create a spa-like effect, the walls were painted a light green color. Dark cabinetry with staggered height is the room's focal point and serves to highlight the granite top. Grey green flooring with a light grout anchors the space. The shower walls consist of large format tiles that repeat the colors of the granite accented by three bands of iridescent mosaic glass tiles that give the illusion of water running down the wall. The dark pebble on the shower pan provides a dramatic contrast to the walls. Hardware and light fixtures in chrome make the master bathroom feel fresh and current.
