A Place for Everything

This kitchen suffered from an ugly, inefficient 1970's renovation and lack of connection to the living area. We removed a wall, upgraded the cabinets and appliances and added a mudroom. It looks better AND functions much better.

The sleek cabinets contain copious storage for food staples, pots and pans, dishes, utensils, beverages, coffee and more. The sink and range swapped walls. Fridge is now counter depth.

We opened up the wall on both sides of the chimney (which could not be removed) to improve flow and make the space feel bigger

We opened up the wall between kitchen and living areas (see "before" photo taken from this spot). Before the renovation this cart was the primary work/storage piece in the kitchen.

The Equart subway tile has a subtle shimmer. Floating cherry shelvs were stained to match the peninsula opposite. Drawers L-R contain trash/junk; foil/wraps/containers; bar items; coffee (out of view to right).
