This kitchen was large and, thanks to greenhouse windows, had plenty of light. But the 1970's era cabinets were in disrepair and clashed with the ca. 1840 house. Our goal was to improve circulation and functionality while maximizing storage to meet the requirements of a kosher kitchen. Twin radiators in the island were replaced with toe-kick Runtals, doubling the storage in the island while reducing its footprint. A second tier of upper cabinets house Passover dishes. Base cabinets of varied depths increase access and circulation space.
