Created specifically for artists in residence, two studio volumes are divided by a carport and bathroom.

Standing seam cladding wraps the studios continuously, defining them as different but related spaces. Diffuse, white light enters the space through polygal, giving the studios ambient light without losing clarity – an important quality for a professional artist. All windows are vertically oriented and the same size, scattered across the façade, giving diverse snapshots of the views to the outside.

As simple, inexpensive, clean volumes, the studios do not interfere with the visual or spatial presence of the artist who inhabits them.
