The site's natural beauty led to a design that blurs the distinction between indoor and outdoor space.

The house is arranged along a central corridor formed by the various parts. Each of these elements is sheathed in natural materials that reflect the setting. These materials—granite, cedar and stucco—run from the exterior to the interior to reinforce the inside/outside concept.

There is a large outdoor terrace on the south side of the house partially sheltered by a roof that becomes the cover for the living room. The living room is then enclosed by a window wall that has large, moveable doors that connect it to the terrace and outside. In contrast, solid forms of granite and wood give a sense of enclosure and shelter.
