This award-winning remodel was recognized as Best Whole House Remodel at the 2025 Denver MAME Awards. The homeowners loved their neighborhood with family and friends nearby and rural-feeling surroundings (yet close to town), but the existing 1970’s tri-level home was badly in need of a remodel. They came to us looking for more livability and connection to the outdoors, with less maintenance and more beauty. The goal was a comfortable and elegant feel that’s easy to live in without tiptoeing around breakables.

One of the original challenges was the location of the front door and foyer. Moving the front door allowed the center section of the home to become one space, with an expanded kitchen and great room that runs from the front to the back of the house. The new front door location to the side of the house by the garage creates a unique approach that activates a previously overlooked part of the home. The new entry sequence takes what was once a dark, hard to access room that had been relegated to storage and turns it into a beautiful, light-filled space with windows all along the back.

The covered outdoor living room can be accessed from either living space, with two large folding glass walls that really open things up. Views of their lot and open space to the Front Range beyond abound from the rear of the home, creating a retreat-like feel.
