Originally built in 1879 under the design of W. W. Lewis, this wonderful Boston townhouse was divided into separate condominiums. Working closely with our clients and the Back Bay Architectural Commission, we converted this 5 story structure back into a single family home. The project included reconfiguring each floor to accommodate the family's programmatic needs, preserving and restoring original period detailing throughout while incorporating modern design elements where appropriate. In addition to integrating existing light wells into the design of each floor, the project also included adding an elevator that accesses the new roof deck.
