We were asked to design a twig porch addition—to create a room that felt as if it were perched in a tree house. The elliptical hipped ceiling provides a sense of openness and is complemented by a frame of birch trunks filled with willow branches. The porch features an indoor/outdoor grill and radiant heat in the floor for year-round use. We worked closely with an artisan who harvested and installed the materials according to our design.
