This house was carefully sited and constructed to avoid damaging the surrounding sand dunes. Built partly on an existing foundation and partly on a new a pile foundation, it is bordered by the Atlantic, the Batson River, and the Rachel Carson Preserve. Wright-Ryan erected a steel frame with wood infill to accommodate the structural requirements of the open floor plan design. Our Millwork Division provided custom Douglas fir cabinetry and moldings throughout, including kitchens, baths, offices for both owners, and a unique steel and wood stair.
