After interviewing 8 custom home builders, Andre chose us to build his retirement home in Monroe, Oregon. Andre worked with his friend Steve Banton, LPE with Banton Engineering and Design to create a unique custom home. We started construction in 2012 on the 2 bedroom, 2 bath home single level home with an open floor plan. The home has 2041 square feet plus a 600 sf garage and 700 sf shop. By building a smaller home we were able to infuse beautiful modern design touches such as the Finlandia cedar sauna, polished concrete floors, a spectacular tile shower, exceptional energy efficiency, an expansive TimberTech XLM composite deck, and 24’ tall vaulted living room. We took exceptional measures such as double stud walls with spray foam insulation and custom airsealing details to maximize energy savings. Andre is thrilled that he can heat his entire home with a few logs per day in his wood fireplace.
