Bramble Iron

This timberframe home on Whidbey Island was completed several years ago, and since then the owners have finished the interiors themselves. The house, nestled in a wooded site, is oriented to the south and west for views and sunlight. With trellised patios, generous porches, and beautiful landscaping, the guiding spirit of the home is to bring the inside to the outside, and vice versa. The two-story living room, open to a study above, gives the home a spacious, airy feeling.
