In the master bedroom of this Laguna Beach house, we chose patterned light-blocking window shades to protect from the jarring morning rays. The blue and white theme has been imbued in the wall color, bedding, striped rug, and furniture. The wood side tables and the hand braided base stools provide a good balance. A cushioned chair with an ottoman footstool placed in the corner creates a perfect nook to enjoy a good book. While the gray and white contemporary wood console is a pleasing contrast to the dark floors, the beach-inspired art is in perfect harmony with the overall theme.
