This very special project was a delight to work on as it was a home where our La Cañada studio’s principal designer Courtney Thomas had spent many wonderful childhood moments in. Going back all these years later as a designer changed her perspective. The new owners were looking to adapt the home’s layout to match the needs of their family, and Courtney is an interior designer who knows how to design with function in mind. The core idea was to redesign the layout to accommodate more meaningful family time. Our studio’s design plan reflected this sentiment precisely by creating a harmonious home that supports playful activities and encourages time for meaningful family connection.
