When our clients purchased their new Fraser Valley home, it was a fairly generic West-Coast contemporary house with vaguely traditional touches and some unusual finishes (such as the chrome-mirror backsplash in the kitchen). But they loved edgy, modern design, colour with a capital “C” and eclectic, interesting spaces that made a statement. And so, taking inspiration from Palm Springs and its famed hotel, The Parker, we created a blank canvas of airy whites for which to support bold modern furnishings and unapologetic colour. Fuchsia, lime green, deep purple and cobalt—colour is a joy that’s celebrated yet balanced in every room.
