Jericho Beach
Time was one luxury this home owner did not have. In this quick but effective decorating project, the Studio team worked to create a space that was livable and fun for a newly moved young family. With busy schedules and an active lifestyle, the process was left very much up to the Studio team to create what the home owners' wanted - a beach bungalow with character. With the short time window as an added challenge, the team managed to create a space that was not generic or soulless, making sure each piece had a story and a place. Salvaged collectibles and oddities instead of store bought knick-knacks give the heritage home a more timeless, family feel. Durable fabrics, rugs and toy storage were top of the priority list when creating a livable, practical space. Hired originally because the fox was the home owners favourite animal, the Studio made sure to incorporate the sly creature into the home's art and decor. As the property was in fact rented, not owned, very few permanent elements were added other than wallpaper and lighting fixtures, proof that even a rented space can still be made unique and personal.
