This Riverside home was built and designed with a classic East Coast inspired foundation, borrowing from the past while remaining in the much needed, functional future. With the family of six and their several beloved furry creatures in mind, the home was designed so its form would always parallel its function. We used classic pallets instead of trendy grey tones to keep the home timeless. The home's kitchen being the crowning jewel and perfect example of the power of classic black and white. The floors throughout are a wire-brushed honey oak, the walls are clad with white painted millwork and salvaged schoolhouse red brick. Working alongside the PlaidFox Studio team, the homeowners played a key role in curating an eclectic and bold assortment of finishes and lighting fixtures. As the home is open concept by definition, each room seamlessly compliments the other with white, navy, and black being the predominant pallet of choice. In designing a forever-home it is always wise to decorate with what is trendy but build with what is classic.
