Chic and Current Condo Living

Good bones met with good taste and loads of collectibles bring this drab and dated condo back to life. Having raised their children, this couple down-sized . . . with style. A soft, neutral palette, glorious views to the North and West, and room to display their art collection make this a sanctuary of note in all four seasons.

Because this was a condo with limitations posed by existing plumbing and concrete floors, major tweaks were restricted to opening up the kitchen to the L shaped dining/living room and rededicating a closeted wet bar. Traffic flow, not to mention the reflected natural light, was improved and the closet converted to a full pantry. Removing a desk, repositioning appliances, adding storage and countertop footage allows all to be within reach for the otherwise vertically challenged (!) cook. Swapping a table for an island not only adds additional work space - with a view - but makes food prep more engaging with family and friends. White cabinets, wood floors, and homogeneous granite backsplash visually expand the space, keeping every light and chic. Just lovely.
