This library renovation is every book lover's dream. Our client wanted a library to showcase his book collection and have a sitting area to cozy up by the fire to read. The challenge for this project was to design a space with classic details that was comfortable, not ostentatious. The room needed to hold a maximum number of bookshelves, but still accommodate windows for natural light and a fireplace for warmth. Many custom details were incorporated including a stunning coffered ceiling using architectural pilasters, beams, and moldings to connect all bookcases. This adds classic styling and gives the space a third dimension.
