This kitchen was part of whole house renovation project which focused on creating a highly efficient home with a restrained square footage of only 2100 sqft. We wanted quality and usability over size and wasted spaces. We also wanted to incorporate GREEN materials throughout the project

This kitchen meets all those goals. The work area is compact without sacrificing countertop space and the countertops are made of 3-ply bamboo with an oiled finish. Stronger than maple or oak and very "green". The cabinetry is contemporary in design and function with self-closing drawer slides and door hinges along with easy access storage drawers. The sink Island has a 42" tall bamboo faced die wall with the grain running horizontally and finished in (3) coats of satin urethane. The countertop is black granite with a leathered finish which gives it a nice texture different than the typical polished finish. The position of the Island allows the cook to look out into the open living room and beyound to the front door.
