Contemporary Kitchen Renovation

The original kitchen of this 19th century, in town residence functioned as a mudroom and hallway. The renovation opened and unified the kitchen and dining area to suit the owner’s style of living and entertaining. The living space is now sunlit throughout the day by windows on east, south and west. The new layout provides for efficient function, ample storage and allows the owner ample space to cook while talking with her guests on the other side of the island. The cherry cabinets provide a warm tone and incorporate traditional lines with contemporary details.
