Contemporary Kitchen with Lighting Features in Washington, D.C.
This kitchen won Second Place in the large kitchen category in the NKBA Baltimore/Washington Chapter Design Contest in March 2016.
Removing a wall opened the entire first floor of this home in Friendship Heights. Builder-grade cabinets were falling apart and a peninsula divided the dining and kitchen space awkwardly. The oak countertop and waterfall were stained to match the floors exactly and lend a cohesive quality. The pendant lights can change colors via an app, individually or all the same, depending on the mood of the day. The cabinetry is Talora by Decor of Canada.
