Our clients had been enjoying an older home on this large lot in Barnstable Village for years. As their family grew, they realized they were outgrowing the existing home and opted to have it removed. A much more spacious home was custom designed and built by Patriot Builders and completed in 2014. To accommodate the family’s love of being outdoors, we situated the home to maximize living space both indoors and out. Extra-wide French doors open onto a screened-in porch adjacent to the living area and work to blur the lines between inside and outside. A large, open loft, with an adjacent deck, at the top of the stairs was positioned to maximize the view of Barnstable Harbor. Unique features in the home include a rustic, floor-to-ceiling stone fireplace and multiple transom windows.
