This Evanston condo was in desperate need of modernization. We gutted the entire unit and then built out a long and narrow kitchen to keep the rest of the great room spacious. The goal of this kitchen design was to ensure that it didn’t interfere visually with the rest of the space. Therefore, visual simplicity was the priority, and we used shiny white cabinets, steel for the fridge and bar stools, and a beautiful gray stone for the counters. We integrated a few pops of orange that followed the pattern of the living space, where we also utilized more vibrant colors.

In addition to the kitchen, we designed the rest of the great room, including dining and living spaces, as well as a study and two bedrooms. Our clients chose to have one bedroom that reflected the grays and whites of the kitchen, whereas the other bedroom reflected the vibrant, rich colors of the living area.

Dog-friendly materials were used throughout.
